Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. The present role of O'Dell as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
